Productivity and Automation

  • Alternate Host with Automatic Rollover
  • Ability to Clone a Host
  • Advanced API Element Management
  • Networked UNC Paths (Enhanced)

Platform Support

  • Enhanced Virtualization with Microsoft™ Hyper-V
  • SQL Server Integration (Enhanced)

Advanced Tasks with Conditional Logic
Users can schedule tasks to be executed based on meeting administrator-set conditions and logical criteria. This feature gives you an efficient, easy way to create integrated multi-step tasks by building customized logic into business processes and workflow automation.

Administrators can also easily manage complex, multi-step logic-based workflows and implement elaborate, logical, and detailed rules – all with no scripting or programming required. For example, administrators can efficiently define what files to move, where to find them, security measures, and when to send them, or they can add customized logical "If, Then, Else, And, Or" conditions into existing workflow execution.

Alternate Host with Automatic Rollover
Now, built-in platform resiliency provides automatic rollover to an alternate host when MOVEit Central Enterprise can not successfully connect to the primary host. Automatic rollover occurs regardless of why MOVEit Central can not connect to the primary host (e.g. server failure, scheduled maintenance, network connectivity)

Clone a Host
MOVEit Central Enterprise also delivers the ability to clone a host for the following host types: MOVEit DMZ, FTP, SSH, SMTP, POP3, AS1, AS2 and AS3.This capability lets you create a "master" host that has all the desired settings. You can then copy this host, a step that saves time instead of creating a new one from scratch.

MOVEit Central API Element Management
Now programmers can use the MOVEit Central COM or Java API to import permanent tasks and to update global parameters. These new API capabilities enable the management of task elements including the creation, modification and importing of permanent tasks, global parameters as well as configuration items, such as tasks and hosts. The MOVEit Central API can be run on Windows, Unix, and Linux systems. It can also be run on mainframe systems that support Java.

Networked UNC Paths (Enhanced)
Administrators can now enter a UNC path in a file source or destination, and MOVEit Central will automatically determine the matching shared path to use. If the requested shared host does not exists the administrator will be prompted to create it.
